Museums
These are a few museums around LA county, many are cheap or free. You can also check with the library for free passes.
Great museum for those of you who enjoy dinosaurs, and history. Also next to the California science museum and rose garden.
Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
You can get free tickets from the library. Zoo lights during the winter is a great event
Los Angeles Zoo
This is a great place if you love marine life and want to learn more about how they are being saved.
Marine Mammal Care Center
Parks
These are some fun parks all around LA. Check out what activities they have throughout the year. They have fun activities throughout the year.
Right across from balboa park, has great activities, quiet. Great place to read or people watch.
WOODLEY PARKCity of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks
This park is perfect for all events. I've held birthday parties here and a memorial. There's plenty of parking available with no need to wake up super early to reserve a space. There's plenty of shade and its not too loud.
Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park
This park has fun activities throughout the year. They have music events, kids events and fun for all ages. Its also a great place to relax on the weekends.
Reseda Park
Fun Locations
These are fun places where you can spend either 10 minutes or hours. They are all free to go to and you can spend no money or a lot.
Has many trinkets, random things to find, and good food. You can spend hours in here looking at all it has to offer.
Charlie Brown Farms
Fun store with a lot of trinkets and fun art pieces. Things you didn't think you needed in every corner
Soap Plant / Wacko
Cultural Locations
These are places where you can embrace various cultures celebrating the diversity of LA. The locations all celebrate different areas of Los Angeles and cultures.
Great spot for food and other aspects of Latinx culture. There's so many fun vendors to support and other things nearby to do.

Cute small museum with cultural events. This place tends to host many events outdoors and is near overall street.

Books
These are some of my favorite book related places. They all have their own charm to them and you can get books at all of them
Cute little free library with a lot of books. The owner is also helpful and wonderful. If you like diversity in your books this is the place.
Little Free Library - TARDIS Northridge
This place is great for browsing and getting photos. If you like books this is a must visit
The Last Bookstore
This library has so many levels and everything is separated by genre. You can find almost everything here
Los Angeles Central Library
Independent bookstore with fun events. You'll find lots of indie authors here. I've found some gems here.
Skylight Books
Great bookstore with monthly events. Some of my favorites are trivia night and their queer book club.
