Visit the Getty Villa Museum
the sister museum to the villa, a really beautiful collection AND get on their educator list, they do some awesome free teacher activities.

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens
free after 3pm for la county residents!
Los Angeles County Museum of Art
even for people who don't love cars, this museum is a can't miss. i learned so much about history AND also…with my love of f1 to see actual f1 cars was a dream. also teachers get in free!
Petersen Automotive Museum
this was one of my favorite places to go as a kid. it's fascinating! and right next to lacma
La Brea Tar Pits and Museum
completely free and high quality science center for all ages! their rotating exhibits are great, and easily accessibly by public transit.
