✨ Worth the Hype
Popular spots that actually lived up to expectations
Flat Iron is always a big craving for me. It is an affordable meal that feels luxurious. The quality of steak is fantastic for the price and bonus points for free ice cream in a cone on the way out!
Flat Iron, Covent Garden
The main event is the experimental drinks that have been curated to perfection. However, they also have a food menu with a great range of options to complement your quirky beverages!
The Alchemist - New York Street, Manchester
This is a lovely spot for a special occasion, ambience is great and service is fabulous there. For my surf and turf lovers, you have to give it a try! P.S. the lobster roll is immaculate.
Burger & Lobster - Leicester Square
A chain restaurant but no matter what one you visit they always have a beautiful, vibrant atmosphere. Contemporary Italian food. I always go for the carpaccio.
Piccolino - Marlow, Buckinghamshire
🍷 Date Night / Special Occasion
Restaurants with a good atmosphere for evenings, celebrations, dates, etc.
This Michelin star pub provides comfort food with an extravagant twist. Dished on small plates with big flavours.
The Coach - Marlow, Buckinghamshire
This is a 2-Michelin star pub (sister pub to The Coach in Marlow) that takes your everyday meals and elevates them in ways you couldn’t imagine. A true culinary experience.
The Hand and Flowers - Marlow, Buckinghamshire
🍨 Desserts & Sweet Treats
Places known for desserts, bakeries, or sweet food spots.
Bread ahead is a very popular bakery just on the edge of borough market. I always grab a crème brûlée doughnut when I’m there. Absolutely delicious.
Bread Ahead - Borough Market, London
A spot based around churros? What more could you want. They also make delicious milkshakes or coffee to go with.
The Knot Churros - Knightsbridge, London
🍕 Casual / Everyday Eats
Affordable places or relaxed restaurants you’d go to regularly.
These guys cook chicken in ways you would never imagine. The creativity and flavour combinations will have you lost for words.
Ginger Wings - Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Not just your average cafe. They move with the seasons, have quality fresh produce, and are packed every single day because the food is just too good!
Fego - Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Make sure you go in with an empty stomach! If you love a bit of fried food this is for you. The burnt ends are scrumptious.
Poor Boys - Kingston, London
I have been here more times than I can count. Pan-Asian cuisine. Very casual and could be eaten at any time of the day. The beef tantanmen ramen and chilli squid is top notch.
Wagamama - Multiple Branch Locations
🌮 Quick Bites / Takeaway Food
Food you grab quickly but still fantastic quality.
In the heart of Camden, make sure you take a little detour to Yorkshire Burrito. Very filling, customisable, and a great lunch option to sit and enjoy or eat on the go!
Yorkshire Burrito, Camden Town
I can’t get enough of this spot. It’s a treat that you don’t feel guilty about because the food is focused on providing health and nourishment. The smoothies are also very yummy.
Grounded Kitchen - High Wycombe
Always a go to guilty pleasure for me. Fun fact, they have no freezers because all their ingredients are fresh. The skin on Cajun fries are a must.
Five Guys - Multiple Branch Loactions
This is a delivery service only I believe so I use Deliveroo to get it. The birria tacos are really rich and tender and the churros come great considering they travel before getting to you.
Taco & Taquitos - High Wycombe
💎 Hidden Gems
Less-known places that deserve more attention.
The ambience was booming, the food was authentic and cooked to perfection. Truely talented chefs here. The highlight for me was the 40-day aged beef with a cured egg yolk.
BAO, Marylebone
A Greek- inspired restaurant which offers authentic food in a relaxed setting. They cook fresh food which you can tell has heart and soul in it.
