I'm very late to this party but... best mystery I've read in a while!
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: A Lisbeth Salander Novel a book by Stieg Larsson
We have symbolism and clues everywhere. The most illogical logical puzzle where the reader can do nothing else but laud the plot twists, red herrings, and skillfully cunning plot that is meticulously planned. A very very clever book.
And Then There Were None (Harperluxe) a book by Agatha Christie
You rarely find such enjoyable, action-packed thrillers and this is why his books are so popular! They are nothing more than what a popcorn-blockbuster is for the cinema but we all need a book like that sometimes!
Angels & Demons a book by Dan Brown
I was long overdue to read this book and this experience has certainly convinced me to add more of the classic True Crime genre to my reading queue.
In Cold Blood a book by Truman Capote

The Lovely Bones a book by Alice Sebold
Quite simply, this is one of the best novels of the year. It's a thriller in the best tradition of Alfred Hitchcock and layered with brilliantly written characters; it's the kind of book that's nearly impossible to put down.
Gone Girl a book by Gillian Flynn
The whole story was absolutely outstanding (the lost book on comedy) and extremely sophisticated.Back then in school everybody read that novel. Must read and absolutely recommended!
The Name of the Rose a book by Umberto Eco, William Weaver, and Richard Dixon
The less you know about the story, the better. Suffice it to say, this is an excellent read and there are very few novels I have read that made my head buzz for hours after.
Shutter Island a book by Dennis Lehane
The writing is everything I came to expect from the Kenzie and Gennaro series and then some. I think this is the book where Dennis Lehane went from "Good Thriller Writer" to simply "Great Writer."
Five stars. I suppose I'll track down the movie now.
Mystic River a book by Dennis Lehane
This is a book about books, a story about stories. It starts and ends in a library of sorts, themes and plots are echoed across decades, tied together by actors who find their roles changing, and by a pen that links two cycles of the story and has it...
The Shadow of the Wind a book by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and Lucia Graves
This story was absolutely thrilling! What you get is a concise, thoughtful, funny, and just down-right readable case that will have your heart and your mind whirling.
The highest recommendation!!
The Mysterious Affair at Styles (Painted Edition) a book by Agatha Christie
This is a Humor Cozy Mystery, and this is the first book in Stephanie Plum series. I have been reading the Stephanie plum series as I find them not in order. I have to say this book is so good, and it shows how Stephanie gets into bounty hunter as wi...
One for the Money a book by Janet Evanovich
This 1988 first Grisham novel is outstanding. 10 of 10 stars!
A Time to Kill: A Jake Brigance Novel (Anniversary) a book by John Grisham
It is always a pleasure to revisit a good book and find it even better than you remember. But it is humbling to discover that what you once thought was its most obvious defect is instead one of its great strengths. That was my recent experience with ...
The Big Sleep a book by Raymond Chandler
This is a very well written psychological thriller which focuses more on the whydunit than on whodonit. I loved how the investigation team came up with the psychological traits of the killer and searched for the perpetrator based on them. It is a nov...
The Alienist a book by Caleb Carr
This book is amazing... really truly excellent. I took a risk at the UTEP library last week, just picking this out at random... & what true serendipity it was! This particular week was rife with parties & late nights (daytime reserved for sle...
