“A writer should never have the audacity to write about themselves unless they’re willing to separate every layer of protection between the author’s soul and their book.”

Some things about this book I can actually relate to as a writer.
The plot twist is twisting! Make you question your moral.

“I’ve had many enemies over the years. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s never engage in a fight you’re sure to lose. On the other hand, never let anyone who has insulted you get away with it. Bide your time and strike back when you’re in a pos...

This book felt like a haunting reminder that truth, no matter how deep you try to burry, will always find its way back to the surface—in the pursuit of justice that needs to be served.

“I have seen many cases like N. during the five years I've been in practice. I sometimes picture these unfortunates as men and women being pecked to death by predatory birds.”

‘N’ had me in chills and can't stop reading past my bedtime. It haunted me with closed eyes and even in my dreams.

"Some things you never forgot. She had come to believe that the very things the practical world dismissed as ephemera—things like songs and moonlight and kisses—were sometimes the things that lasted the longest."

This book taught me a lot about relationships and deep connections. Some things I can actually relate to as a writer. Classic chilling storytelling by Stephen King. Definitely a must read!

“It’s possible to miss what you’ve never had, to mourn for it.”

Easy to read. Rachel's POV was one of the best unreliable narrators I've read. Some parts speak truth that I found uncomfortable. I liked how most of the characters made me feel some things.
