New York has too many good options for great food and drink to be falling into tourist traps! These are hands down my favourite places that never fail to impress.

My ride or die fave restaurant. It’s small so hard to get a res but gosh there isn’t a dish I have tried that I haven’t immediately LOVED. Paired with a dry Spanish white wine… this is unbeatable.
Casa Mono
Get the crispy roasted potatoes and the cake. Get other things if you feel it’s weird to just order potatoes and cake but please know that no one will ever judge you for doing that here. They are unmatched.

When reserving, ask if there is a table on the “new” side of the restaurant as it’s designed to feel like the inside of a ship. The owner is British so of course the roast potatoes are good but everything is good. Order every cocktail, and everything...

If it says “in brodo” then order it. Get the bread. Get everything but get the bread!! Gosh I need to go back, this is a firm fave of mine and it’s been a good 6 months.

THE place for steak in New York. Sit at the bar, order the mashed potato and a steak the size of your head along with a great full bodied red wine. Say no more.
