The Nikon Z bodies and glass I run on event days, plus the gimbal and sticks they sit on.
My main A cam for interviews. I lock this off when I need cinema-looking talking heads and I don’t want to burn a Z6 III on a stick.
Nikon ZR Cinema Camera
Main body for photos and video. I keep two of these so color and quality stay consistent when I switch cameras mid-event.
Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Camera
Great all-around for wide and up close. I have two of these and they cover most of the day.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens (Nikon Z)
The budget-friendly zoom when I need more light than the 24-120. Wide and tight without swapping to a prime.
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens (Nikon Z)
Lightweight prime I start with. Standard focal length, easy on the gimbal, good when the room is dark.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens (Nikon Z)
Outdoor days blow out fast. This stays in the bag so the 24-120 and Tamron don’t cook the sky.
NiSi 77mm Circular ND Filter Kit
Lightweight gimbal I mainly use with a prime. Zoom lenses throw off the balance, so this is a 35mm tool more than a 24-120 tool.
DJI RS 4 Mini Combo Kit
Clips to the side of the RS 4 Mini so I can run a V-mount and stop swapping gimbal batteries mid-event.
Tilta Pocket V-Lock Plate V2
Hydraulic clutch legs. I can set a rig down and level it in seconds. Holds up to 13.2 lb, which is enough for the ZR or a Z6 III.
SmallRig x Potato Jet TRIBEX Carbon II Tripod with Fluid Head
This is the 70-200 f/2.8 I use for speakers on stage and candids from the back of the room. Tight shots without walking into the aisle.

What I use when a room has a feed, a bride doesn’t want a wire, or I need a backup lav.
I use this for ambient room sound and when I can tap a house feed. It’s the recorder I trust when lavs aren’t the whole story.

Plug and play lavs I run on about 90% of events. Two people, clean, I don’t think about it.

Mainly purchased this kit as a backup audio source and for brides not wanting to deal with a lav mic wire under the dress. This is simple and magnetic to clip on the dress.
Hollyland LARK M2 DUO 2-Person Wireless Combo Microphone System (2.4 GHz, Ivory White)
These keep a lav stuck to clothing when a clip isn’t an option. I go through them on wedding days.
Rycote Stickies Lavalier Adhesive Pads (100-Pack)
This is one of those random finds, I came across this hair tape because alot of the audio tape available is black or white but I wanted something a little more discreet when attaching a lav mic to a brides dress. This tape works really well.

I mainly use this at weddings to spotlight someone giving a speech. Continuous, so I can see the light before I roll.

The smaller softbox for a two-light setup. This is the second light, not the key.

Godox V100 Flash for Nikon
I've tried MagMod attachments but didn't like them after awhile. This flash bender is a game changer. I can probably shoot an entire event with just my on camera flash and this attachment to produce good quality photos.
