A great little collection of restored WW2 aircraft and some replicas on display.   The cool thing about this museum is you can actually sit in some of the aircraft.
The 2 seater Hawker Hunter, and climbing through the PBY Catalina, was a highlight of my last trip.
The Avgas cafe does good food and coffee , and there is lots of children's activities if you want to take your family.

This museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Royal New Zealand Airforce.  The range of the collection spans models that saw service with the RNZAF.  The behind the scenes tour of restorations is well worth it.  If you have a few hours or half a day to spare in Christchurch, visit this museum.
