Breckenridge

SUCH a fun ski spot! I feel like this area with its large mountain and downtown area is a great spot for families!

I definitely recommend skiing Breckenridge! We had a great time and the mountain was awesome. It was a fun one for sure! There are so many trials that also intertwine which makes it fun to bounce through them all day. There were plenty of green and e...

Whether you're skiing or not, this gondola ride is worth it!
If you are skiing, this is how you get up to parts of the moutain, and if you're not skiing you can still take the ride to enjoy the views. It is also open during non-ski season for a beautiful ride. I've enjoyed this ride both while skiing and while...

To me downtown Breckenridge feels like such an authentic and cute ski town! There are a lot of shops and restaurants in downtown Breckenridge. It is right at the bottom of the mountain and a great place to walk around after skiing.

Recommend as a more casual place to have dinner! We've eaten here multiple times and it has always been good and busy. They have an arcade in half the building and then the restaurant tables for eating in the other. If you have to wait its fun to pla...

This was something that we did! Somewhat untraditional for a ski trip, but we saw a local Christmas play and it was very enjoyable - they did a good job! I believe they offer different shows throughout the year so something to consider before, and fu...

Beautiful views at this hotel! I loved staying here!
This was a fun hotel to stay at near Breckenridge mountain so very accessible if you're skiing, and it had beautiful views off the balconies and from restaurant area. Worth it!

Vail

Vail has my favorite ski village by far! Not really that far from Breckenridge either, so you could do a trip and stop at both spots.

I personally have not been skiing on Vail mountain, however I am adding it since we went to the ski village. I've heard it's an amazing mountain to ski but I think it's a little more advanced.

Straight out of a Hallmark movie!
Out of all the ski villages I've seen, Vail's is my FAVORITE! First off it is so huge, there are different sections that you can drive between. They have so many shops and places to eat and just walking around felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. T...

Telluride

Telluride is very secluded but the mountain skiing was great!

I will say that Telluride mountain is VERY secluded. Besides the town there really didn't feel like there was anything around for like an hour. However while you are there it is a very fun time! The skiing on the mountain was awesome! Definitely do-a...

Denver

There is always lots to do in Denver! I've flown into Denver and then driven to the mountains, but let me say that drive can be extremely scary during snow season so take caution.

A must-see if you are in Denver! We've gone during the winter months, and although it's cold in the moutains, Denver itself was sunny and warm enough to walk around and enjoy. You can drive and/or walk through different parts of Red Rocks and the sit...

We stumbled upon this Christmas market when we visited Denver in December. Right outside Denver's city hall area is this market and their Christmas decorations. If you are going that time of year, it is definitely something fun to check out!

Skiing in Aspen!! There are a few different mountains you can choose to ski while in Aspen, but we skied Snowmass and it was SO good. This mountain had a ton of trails and great options for different ski and snowboarding levels. Skiing to the bottom ...

I think downtown Aspen is worth seeing, however being honest we didn't find a TON to do. Most of the stores were very high end and the restaurants were as well. It also seemed that most things (except food) shut down on the earlier side which was a l...

Glenwood Springs

If you're in Aspen, definitely recommend taking the trip over to Glenwood Springs!

We had SUCH a nice relaxing day in these hot springs! Tickets are timed, I believe for two hours, and maybe a little pricey but SO worth it. There was a selection of different pools at different temperatures. The whole atmosphere was so peaceful and ...

Ouray

A small town about an hour from Telluride

Rebecca Ann profile picture
About an hour aside of Telluride is Ouray!
We ventured and found this small quaint town. It is pretty secluded but it definitely gave the feel of an older western style town which was cool to see! We walked around and saw some sports clothing stores, chocolate shops and restaurants. There are...
