These are books I have enjoyed, a decent chunk will be on kindle unlimited.
This should be required reading for anyone who works in the medical field, particularly on the front lines. Completely changed my perspective on functional neurology.
It’s All in Your Head: True Stories of Imaginary Illness by Suzanne O'Sullivan
This book is perfect - set in Scotland, with witches, drama, mystery, family dynamics. Everything I could ask for!
The Lighthouse Witches by C.J. Cooke
DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER. Go into this, ideally via the audiobook, knowing as little as possible. You will realise why. It’s brilliant.
Project Hail Mary (2026)
It’s super popular but I adored this book
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
This is multiverse sci-fi, and I was hooked from the very beginning.
The Space Between Worlds - Micaiah Johnson
I'm a sucker for a central mystery and really enjoyed this one.
Labyrinth - Kate Mosse
I really enjoyed this book, a perfect holiday read.
One Small Mistake - Dandy Smith
This was big a couple of years ago and for good reason, so good!
Piranesi - Susanna Clarke
Lady Emily Hardcastle and her lady's maid/best friend/narrator Florence Armstrong are spies in the 1920's, trying to retire to the Cotswolds but keep getting caught up in mysteries. These are genuinely so enjoyable, and are all on kindle unlimited!
