One of the buzziest books of the autumn and for good reason. R.F. Kuang is back with her second academic fantasy and it’s an all-consuming delight.
Katabasis by R.F. Kuang
A standout sapphic horror romance full of family drama and vampires.
Feast While You Can by Mikaella Clements

Blood Over Bright Haven by M.L. Wang
A haunting tale that’s a classic for a reason. It would be a shame to not have this on your reading list this fall.
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
Soak in the back to school season with this thrilling translated historical fiction set at a boarding school. Szabó has been my go-to recommendations for ages.
Abigail by Magda Szabó
It’s not a fall reading list without the cult classic The Secret History. Brilliant character work and writing is what makes The Secret History one of the best of the best.
