Arriving at the Kraton and Understanding the Layout
The Kraton is located in the center of Yogyakarta, making it easily accessible from most parts of the city. You can reach it by taxi, becak (pedicab), or even on foot if you're staying nearby.
The main entrance is through a grand gate known as "Pagelaran." The palace is divided into several sections, and a small entrance fee is required.

A pendopo for traditional dancing or wayang wong. When crowded it may be hard to find place to sit (sit on the floor). You may need to come earlier to find a good spot for watching all the area. The building is good in decoration and lighting.
