Yes, we all love Fourth Wing and ACOTAR, but there are sooooo many other series that are just as good; if not even better.
This completed 4 book series was one of my favorites of the year. Stacia Stark is definitely one of my new favorite authors of the year.
A Court This Cruel and Lovely
I was drawn to this series because of the beautiful covered, but absolutely loved it. This was my first encounter with crow people, and it was done so well… it wasn't weird.
House of Beating Wings
Only one book is currently out, but this one was a doozy. I would describe this book as if Matched and The Handmaids Tale had a baby.
Conform
This series has trials, enemies to lovers, and a slow burn that is worth the wait.
Trial of the Sun Queen
This series is gaining popularity and for good reason. It has one of my favorite book boyfriends (Luther) and a cliff hanger that will make you furious.
Spark of the Everflame
Another series that only has the first book out currently, but if the rest of the series continues on like the first book, I just know this will be an awesome read.
We Who Will Die
An amazing enemies to lovers series with dragon shifters, fae and some good old fashion smut.
Empire of Flame and Thorns
This book was my second favorite read of 2025 and the second book was my absolute favorite read of the year! I will constantly be shoutingmy love for this series from the mountain tops.
The Road of Bones: The Ashen Series, Book One
This is a completely trilogy with less spice than other suggestions, but the plot and character development make it an excellent read.
