Tired of the same recommendations over and over? Here is a list of some of my favorite fantasy reads that aren't mentioned as much as they should be!
This book was less romance than I am used to, but the plot and the trials were top tier.
The Raven Scholar
Cassandra Clare was one of the authors I read wayyy back when, that got me into fantasy reads. This series currently has 2 of the 3 books out and is so different from what I have previously read by her, but so good.
Sword Catcher
I was suspicious of the plot of this book, because it could have been very cheesy. Instead, the world building was amazing and the diverse bunch of characters made me fly through this book.
This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me
This book reminded me of so many books but in the best possible way.
Of Flames and Fallacies
Set in the Renaissance, in the times of powerful families, art and hidden magic.
Graceless Heart
A phenomenal dystopian series with complex world building and political systems.
The Bone Season
This one is more Romantasy than others on the list, but it involved a unique magic system involving tarot.
Arcana Academy
I would recommend reading Riftborne and Duskbound before reading this one (they are all amazing), but it only makes the ending of this book that much more epic.
The Ascended
The thing I love about this book is that nothing is black and white. The heroes and the villians are not clearly defined whatsoever and I changed sides so many times throughout reading.
Conform
Please just read this book… it was one of my favorite reads of all time. And then when I thought it couldn't get any better, I read the second book.
The Road of Bones
There are crow people. And they live in these cool tree houses in the woods. Enough said…
House of Beating Wings
This book took me a second to wrap my head around the rules of this world. A secret school where vampires and humans live together - as allies but yet enemies as well.
