Post apocalyptic horror. Bizarre characters and scenes. One of those “What did I just read" kind of books.
Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy A. Snyder, Paperback
A woman living alone with her husband in a cabin in the mountains in the dead of winter. Need I say more?
Near the Bone by Christina Henry, Paperback
Reminded me a bit of the movie Minority Report with Tom Cruise. I had to put it down at times because of how creeped out I was.
Intercepts: a horror novel
Absolutely CREEPY. You want a book that will give you chills with a twist at the end, this is it!
William by Mason Coile, Hardcover
A unique horror story about a haunted record player. Loved it!
Schrader's Chord
I cannot recommend this book enough. Countless times I had to look over my shoulder.
Stolen Tongues | Felix Blackwell
Check your triggers on this one!
Gone to See the River Man
This book has stayed with me, even after 2 years. Another one to check your triggers on.
The Black Farm
Sequel to The Black Farm. Just as good as the first. A little bit more disturbing.
Return To The Black Farm
Tools from the perspective of a child, this one will give you chills
Incidents Around the House: A Novel by Josh Malerman, Paperback
Macabre and visceral. An easy one sitting read. You won’t be able to stop.
To Be Devoured by Sara Tantlinger, Paperback
A twist on Edgar Allan Poe’s Fall of the House of Usher. Atmospheric and beautifully written.
What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher, Paperback
The “sequel” if you will, to What Moves the Dead. Just as atmospheric as the first. Couldn’t put it down!
What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher, Hardcover
One of the creepiest books I have read. Though, having a phobia of puppets may be part of it.
I Found Puppets Living in my Apartment Walls by Ben Farthing, Paperback
If you have a weak stomach, I wouldn’t recommend. However, if you can handle the bizarre and twisted premise, you won’t be disappointed.
Tender Is the Flesh (B&N Exclusive Edition)
Creepy in every sense of the word.
Nestlings by Nat Cassidy, Paperback
Unique and chilling. I’m not sure how else to describe it. It’s short too. You can finish it in a day. Great book for a rainy day.
The Haar: A Horror Novel by David Sodergren, Paperback
It’s not what you expect! Couldn’t put it down. Tragic. Sad. And truly horrific if you think about it.
Ghost Eaters: A Novel by Clay McLeod Chapman, Paperback
