Catch a show or movie at the State Theater, which shows re-runs of classics and hosts musical acts of various genres in its old-school theater setting

Visit the Palmer Museum, which is free to visit! Park behind Penn State Law and enjoy a wonderful collection of art across different mediums, including painting and sculpture. It's always worth coming back to visit its rotating exhibit

Where to drink without undergrads
If you want to avoid droves of students and long lines, check out these local spots!
This is one of the best places to enjoy a drink outside in the summer--the brewery is right on a creek and has ample outside seating. Be warned, though, their parking lot is small
Voodoo Brewery
Enjoy a crisp hard cider outside or inside at 814 Cider Works. They are open on weekends in the winter and usually have great live music as well

A short drive from PSU's campus, this charming brewery in Boalsburg has some great brews and usually a yummy food truck

Wonderful spot to get some cheap drinks. They have a bunch of varieties of cider and their multiple size options lets you sample whatever floats your boat
