Unfortunately, Friday I didn’t get to do anything by the time I got situated at the place I was staying, but this is what I wanted to do and will aim for next time!
This is a little bit further out than my other recommendations for the evening, but I would have loved to have gone to see a rodeo at the Fort Worth Stockyards and hope to do it next time!
Fort Worth Stockyards
This looks like a great bbq restaurant I would have loved to have tried for dinner on my first night in town!
Smokey John's
This place looks absolutely glorious! If you’re trying to do it on a tighter budget catch the night soaks-you arrive between 7:00-8:30pm and it closes at 10pm on Fridays. It was around $49.

Saturday was a packed day in my itinerary since this was the only full day I was in town. I visited and enjoyed all these places except for the Jazz lounge at the end which is where I wish I had ended my night!
This is a really cute brunch spot…well decorated and the food was good! They also have a set menu with bottomless mimosas for around $35 so you can’t beat that!
Medium Rare Restaurant
This museum was really cool. There is a portion of special exhibits you can pay for but the free portion is more than enough to keep you busy. They recommend you reserve your tickets for the free portion ahead of time, but you can get them at the doo...
Dallas Museum of Art
This is a super cute “one stop shop” for souvenirs. Things are generally a little pricey but I was able to find a $34 cowboy hat and a ton of cute little keychains and jewelry in the $5-10 range. You can also check out Walmart for additional souvenir...
Wild Bill's Western Store
This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. I definitely enjoyed the the food here. If you avoided extras like this could be done at a decent price.
Mesero Southlake
We stopped by this place briefly. It gives an old school bar vibe that we didn’t really love…smoking and food on premises…but it looked like it could be a lot of fun if you came at the right time. There was cheap drinks, live music and karaoke.
Willhoites
We walked Main Street in Grapevine and the Christmas decorations were absolutely adorable! There were also a ton of restaurants, bars and shops so even if you are there at another time of the year,it’s definitely worth checking it out! There is also ...

This is a super cute looking, reasonably-priced hidden jazz lounge I would have loved to visit.

I flew out Sunday, but I did have time for donuts! I wish I had also had the opportunity to catch this awesome look horchata and chocolate place before I left town as well!
This is a classic Texas staple with surprisingly great donuts! It’s a great place to catch a light breakfast and they also serve kolaches and coffee as well.
Shipley Do-Nuts
I wish I left late enough to squeeze this place in! They are known to have a ton of different horchata flavors and chocolates! Great place to get some finally Dallas souvenirs and tasty treats in!

I didn’t have time to get this in but I wish I could’ve! It’s a Dallas landmark where you are able to see the entire city…I can’t wait to check this out next time!
Reunion Tower Observation Deck in Downtown Dallas, TX
If you have time for a meal before your flight definitely check this place out. This was one I missed out on but it looks like they have pretty highly rated burgers.
