We used to take our dog here for years-it has since been renovated. Fun little spot near Stone Mountain.
Rockbridge Dog Park
The great park about this dog park is there is a playground, picnic area and skate park on the same property!
J. B. Williams Dog Park

A great place for fun all year round. You can just pay for parking and wander around the many hiking areas, playground and festivals or pay for the kids park area as well and enjoy a full day of activities. Be sure to stay for the laser show!
Stone Mountain Park
Great place to check out some alpacas! You can also feed them! Check the schedule as they are only open at certain times.
Alpaca Farm
Great place to interact with rescue animals. It has expanded over the years to give the animals more space to live and play. There is feed you can buy to feed them as well.
Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary
Great local option for sports lessons. They offer so many options for sports year-round.

These are some of my family’s fav outdoor activities in the area. These are definitely worth checking out and most of these are free!
Quiet place for a quick hike and picnic. This property includes an old post office, an old school, and a couple of other buildings. Definitely a fun and informative afternoon for visitors.
Yellow River Post Office
The cutest area for a picnic and not super frequented. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
Tucker Nature Preserve
This is a great cheap location for summer water fun! There are indoor pools, an outdoor aquatic center, and they offer swimming lessons.
Mountain Park Aquatic Center & Activity Building
Great area park with a playground, walking areas, dog park, skate park and picnic areas and baseball fields.
J. B. Williams Park
Huge park with playground, swings, walking paths and a splash pad. They also host several festivals and there are several places to eat on and around the park.
Lilburn City Park
Trails, playground, river overlooks. Great place for a picnic. This is nice for a chill, quiet afternoon.

Great music store and lesson spot. This is my go-to spot for instrument accessories for my kids.
