The cutest way to experience some rescue animals. Make sure to buy some food to feed them!
Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary
Fun little historical hike. Great place for a picnic and you can hike around a bit and see the old buildings.
Yellow River Post Office
Sometimes it’s free, sometimes it’s a small fee, but it’s always a great time! This show starts when it gets dark and is maybe an hour or so long. It includes fireworks, music and lasers. Definitely worth it to stop by if you’re in the area. Make sur...
Classic Lasershow- Limited Engagement
Must see if you’ve never been to an international farmer’s market. The also have a ton of delicious baked goodies and coffee as well! A little further out.
Your DeKalb Farmers Market
Great reasonably priced kids’ activity if you’re in the area! It has this super fun outdoor pool and also several indoor pool options.
Mountain Park Aquatic Center & Activity Building
What is particularly interesting about this cemetery is the unmarked Civil War soldier graves. Interesting visit for history buffs.
City Cemetery
The cutest spot with some unique beer options! Definitely worth checking out.
Outrun Brewing Company
Great place to stay in the area…feels like you’re in a resort and they also have buffet meals available.

Try the sweet potato biscuits, they are amazing! They also have great brunch options.

Great option for Thai in the area. Their Thai tea is also lovely.
Sweet Basil - Stone Mountain
I love this place for breakfast! Delicious Central American style breakfast.
Rosita Mexican & Salvadorian Food
Amazing coffee options! Great community atmosphere.
Gilly Brew Bar
Great breakfast options! I love their German pancakes. They also have a nice lunch as well.
The Village Corner German Restaurant & Bakery
A little farther out but definitely worth it for a great lunch or dinner! Try the bobba tea as well!
PaoPao Ramen Factory & BoBa
A little further out from Stone Mountain, but worth the drive! Local, homemade style custard.
Berens Frozen Custard
Super sweet treats! Great hit with the kids! For an adult, you may need to split one of these…at least I usually do!
Candy World Drinks N’ Treats
Great food for a really reasonable price. There is one in Lilburn which is close to Stone Mountain and also one in Tucker.
Grecian Gyro
The food is ok but the cakes are amazing! Definitely go in for dessert if nothing else!

Great Ethiopian food! The owner is super nice as well.

Excellent food for an excellent price-great for a family-style meal! Also, make sure you grab a chai because they are amazing!

Lots of little hiking areas, a playground and several overlooks to the river. Make sure to wear your sneakers-the whole thing’s a bit of a hike!
Yellow River Park
Make sure you bring water, snacks and good shoes! About a mile hike up hill…great view on the top so it’s worth it!
