TRUST. This paint is IT for glass, plastic, and even works coated metals, on fabric and more. I use it for any glass project, but also on any fabrics (like shoes) where I don’t want to prime first
FolkArt ® Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Paint
You can get this in a few finishes, depends on what shoes you have it on! Does the work, it’s a must use to seal any of the leather paints.
Shop Angelus Acrylic Finisher for Shoes | Leather Paint Sealer
The *only* brand of leather fast paint I trust for painting shoes!! Works amazing, sets quick, color is excellent. Never go without!
Angelus® Acrylic Leather Paint, 1oz.
Very similar to pure acetone, but get this to prep leather surfaces and strip off the coating that keeps your paint from sticking.
Angelus® Professional Leather Preparer & Deglazer, 1oz.
The metallic leather paint versions! I love the silver and the gold, they are also excellent to undercoat when you use the glitter paints.
Angelus Acrylic Leather Metallic Paint
Must have to finish off any leather painting project! Seals, protects. Let it dry between coats and cure for a day.
You can choose different finishes depending on your project, but no matter what this is a must have. Don’t bother with the paint if you aren’t going to seal it!
Shop Acrylic Finisher | Angelus Brand Shoe Care Products
This stuff is SO pretty! Tip: layer it over the matching metallic paint to coat quicker, or just build it up to shine how you want! Either way, it’s beautiful!
Angelus Glitterlites Paint
Never go without a good primer, especially one you can use quickly like this spray. I will typically use this to base coat canvas shoes but it’s great for all types of surfaces.
KILZ® ORIGINAL Aerosol Primer
This comes in very handy for projects where you don’t want to change the color but you still need a primer.
KILZ® KLEAR Interior | Exterior Primer
I’ve been through more jugs of this than i can count and I don’t want to be without it! The primer for me, must be #2!
Kilz 2 Primer
These neon colors? Perfect POP of color on leather. No regrets.
Angelus Neon Acrylic Paint Starter Kit, 6 Pack
This is a great clear coating for artwork, shoes, and more. Dries fast, coats well, doesn't yellow.
Krylon® Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating
Clear coat, but make it MATTE. Also a great option, I do prefer a matte finish from time to time where it matters. Probably most usable on artwork.
Krylon® Matte Finish
I will not go without these. They write and wear SO well, no matter the project. I use them for many surfaces. Buy all the Posca!
Posca Pens
Brushes
Not entirely necessary, but they are great small brushes that work well for detail!
Angelus Synthetic Paint Brush Set - Micro Detail, Set of 5, ...
Brushes are such a personal preference and depend on so many factors (paint? Style? Size?) but I recommend getting a general set that you don’t mind getting messy. Figure out what sizes and styles you like, then you invest in what works for you best.
