Reading for the vibes ✨

items I've been a fantasy girlie my whole life! This is a list of my recent favourites — I probably can't explain what any of them are about, but the vibes were immaculate. 📚✨
Sassy dragons, a shadow daddy, and a training montage - what more could a girl ask for? 🐉
Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, Onyx Storm
The Empyrean Series
This is the series that got me back into reading after my mandatory millennial 10-year reading hiatus. Such a fun read! And if you want to DNF ACOTAR — I can't relate, but I've heard some people do — please, please, please keep going! Book two, ACOMA...
A Court of Thorns and Roses
This is a masterpiece! If you’re only in it for the spice- this isn’t the one for you. However, if you’re into epic fantasy with a romantic subplot and emotional damage, this delivers. Your heart with be in a million pieces by the end, but in the bes...
Throne of Glass
I’ve seen a lot of people compare this to Fourth Wing. The vibes are similar but, IMO, other than being set a military college and bonded animals, they are very different stories. The most striking difference is the love interest is blonde. That’s su...
Dire Bound
If you haven’t read Dire Bound, please don’t read this note yet!

I was right about the blonde love interest! Never trust a blonde man in book one 😂
This book was fantastic! We get to see more of the world and the magic systems, there are plot...
Fury Bound
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Unique magic system, adventure, and plot twists that keep twisting! Highly recommend 😉
Shield of Sparrows
This series just keeps getting better! We get a second story line, and the way things come together at the end - chef’s kiss!
I managed to get this one with the sprayed edges. She’s a beauty 😍
Rites of the Starling
I listened to this one on audible. Let me tell you - the plot twist twisted so hard that I thought my audio book glitched. I absolutely could not believe what I was hearing! Trust me - add this to your TBR.
Metal Slinger: Fire & Metal: Book One
This was a really fun read. Fae? Games and trials? I’m in!
Artefacts of Ouranos Series (4 Books)
This one is a little darker than some of the others on the list. It’s a King Midas retelling - really unique story. You need to meet Slade Ravinger - trust me!
Highly recommend this one on audio!
The Plated Prisoner Series (Gild to Goldfinch)
I really enjoyed this trilogy! Avalon tower was good. Vale of dreams was fantastic! Lady of the Lake was a solid ending to the series. The stakes are high and the plot is plotting in this one!
Fey Spy Academy (Avalon Tower, Vale of Dreams)
Kingfisher. That is all 🔥
Quicksilver
I beg your finest pardon Callie Hart - what was that ending?! I need book three yesterday!!
Brimstone
The magic system and class structure in this one are very interesting. It a slooooooooooow burn - like were sparking of almost three books before we catch fire. The tension is delicious and book three ends on a cliff hanger that’s bordering on cruel....
The Kindred's Curse Saga (Everflame Trilogy)
This book gets some hate for the writing style, but I thought it was lovely 🥰. It’s heavy on the world building, you really have to pay attention while reading, and it’s really really good!
I hear amazing things about the sequel - it’s up next on ...
When the Moon Hatched (The Moonfall Series)
I read this one a while ago, so I can’t remember exactly what happened. I can tell you I devoured it! It’s set in Italy and there are witches and demons. It was a refreshing change from the fae and monsters type books I usually read (I still love tho...
Kingdom of the Wicked boxed set
The third series in the SJM multiverse is a must read! Don’t let the size of these books scare you - it’s well worth it. House of Earth and Blood was, by far, my favourite in this series!
Crescent City Series Set of 3 Books
A beautifully heartbreaking trilogy that gives Throne of Glass vibes without the eight book commitment! 🦋
The War of Lost Hearts Trilogy Box Set
So, here’s the thing, if Carissa Broadbent writes it I’m going to read it.
This is a series comprised of duets, two of which are complete. There are vampires, games and trials, banter, and Gods. It’s a really good time!
There are two novellas that...
