As a guide for Arizona Outdoor Fun I know the best tips to make your visit smooth and fun. Feel free to comment any questions. I’m happy to answer.
As a guide I have seen all the products and the guided UTV tour is significantly better than the ATV tour. The UTVS are safer. You don’t go through a training course. ATVs have to go through a 30 minute training that is part of their 2 hour tour time...
Guided UTV Tour is Better than Any Other Tour
Showing up early to your reservation is important. Especially, if you book on the weekend. Saturdays are packed so either book at 8am or show up at least 30 minutes early so you can avoid the crowd a be on the first wave out.
Show Up 15-20 minutes early to your reservation, if you booked on a Saturday show up even early. Also, dont book on a Saturday, if you do book the 8am tour.
Tipping 10-20% of your bill is appreciated by your guides (like me) who work really hard for you! We are talking about giving the guide $10 minimum. Tips are always appreciated and keep us from working jobs we absolutely hate.

If you can avoid booking on a Saturday do it and if you cannot book the 8am tour. We receive hundreds of people a day on Saturdays which means the customer service is diminished. You are stuck in a specific wave depending when you show up. There is a...
Do NOT book on a Saturday
Showing up late for the last tour only hurts yourself. You will not get the full 2 hours on trail because trail closes 2 hours after the last tour. The best thing to do is call and come in a different day.
If you book the last tour do NOT show up late!
Fill out your waiver before you show up. You’ll get an email asking you to fill this out. It’s a very easy step that makes check in smoother and you won’t have to step to the side to fill it out on site.

Wear clothing and closed-toed shoes you can get dirty. Also remember to check the weather. Some days it’s cold and raining and you will want layers, rain gear, pants and boots. Even on warm days remember the Arizona sun is extremely hot and burns you...

If you are riding an ATV there is not a spot to put your bag and wearing it can be hard as you ride plus it’ll get dusty or muddy depending on the weather. There are spots in the UTV for your bag but still it will get dirty. It’s best to just bring y...
Large bags and Purses are not recommended
The 8am tour is the least crowded tour with the best chance of viewing animals. After that, the next tour of the day is a great choice. The last tour of the day is not ideal. Most people are late, the tour starts late and you may not get the full two...
8am tour is the best tour and least crowded
The Centipede trail might be the hardest trail commercially available. It is a double black trail. Experts only. If you don’t have ATV experience I recommend going UTVS (which I recommend anyways). ATV riders experienced or not, guided or unguided, h...
ATVs are not for beginners
This is something I’d like all ladies to know. We get a lot of bachelorette parties and groups of gals and they should know they are walking into a place where there maybe 0-2 women working there. As one of the two ladies on staff we both work to emp...
Ladies be prepared for a male-dominated workplace
We have plenty of water for you on-site. If you choose guided (as is the best way to go) we bring out a cooler of water for you. Also making sure to hydrate the day before is also good. The desert heat is sneak and catches up to you fast without real...
