My wedding is in the Chicagoland area, so I thought I'd share these fun activities for wedding guests to do if they want to add on an extra day or two!

Chicago Botanic Garden
Huge space for kids to learn and play, but adults cannot get in without a child in their group
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago
Could spend all day here. You have to check out the U-boat exhibit, it's the only German sub in the U.S.
Griffin Museum of Science and Industry
A little far from the city, but so worth it. It's such a calming atmosphere
The Morton Arboretum
Lots of cars from movies, but also now there's a Titanic area and Jurassic Park area
Volo Museum Auto Sales
Has 11 specialty saunas, perfect for a relaxing day!
King Spa & Sauna
Literally could spend all day here, great for kids and adults
Field Museum
If you have the time and the weather is good, this is a great tour from a view you normally don't get to see!
Chicago River Boat Architecture Tours
Iconic fountain and not usually too crowded
Clarence F. Buckingham Memorial Fountain
Such a pretty planetarium and right on Lake Michigan!
Adler Planetarium
Great place to experience Chicago Blues music
Buddy Guy's Legends
Lots of rotating exhibits, so check online what's being featured when you go
The Art Institute of Chicago
Historic building and has the largest Tiffany stained glass dome
Chicago Cultural Center
Iconic historic building and I think the shows are the same level as Broadway in NYC
The Chicago Theatre
If you've never been to Chicago, you have to go once and touch the Bean
Millennium Park
The ferris wheel is fun, but the shops aren't really worth it
Navy Pier
One of the best aquariums in the midwest
Shedd Aquarium
One of the largest conservatories in the country
Garfield Park Conservatory
Admission is free! Although you do have to pay parking if you want to park on-site
Lincoln Park Zoo
If you like baseball, this is a must. Great area for restaurants and just hanging out as well!
Wrigley Field
One of the best beaches with amazing downtown views
North Avenue Beach
If you like Frank Lloyd Wright, this is a great tour for you! Lots of houses in Oak Park by him
