So, I grew up around Jim Thorpe, and I remember when I was just a little nugget, that I went on a field trip to the jail. So if you don't know SPOILER ALERT the jail is known for it's handprint on the wall due to the Molly McGuire hangings. I know hi... Long story short the handprint symbologizes the innocence of the men, and the handprint remains there today! Now.. if you are a ghost believer.. you can take night time tours ;) but if that's not your thing go ahead and take the day time. It is cool!

This is my recommendation, do not try to go see the waterfall. I know it's heartbreaking :( Unfortunately, a lot of people went to see the waterfall with sandals or no shoes at all, slipped, and fell so now it's closed due to safety concerns. :(
