Hotels
We go to Chicago for St Patricks Day, and we love to stay in this hotel. It has a viewing spot down below so you can be close to the river and it also has a great view of the river if you choose a river room. This gives you a chance to watch from abo...
Chicago Riverwalk Hotel | Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk
It has a lower rating, but it is actually a really nice hotel. It has a great view of the river. It's clean, and is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing.
RIVER HOTEL CHICAGO
It's clean and on the river! It's also fairly inexpensive.
HYATT REGENCY CHICAGO
This was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms were decently priced (when booked ahead) and they are huge! They come with a full kitchen (stove, dishwasher, pots & pans, etc) and a really nice bathroom. We requested a high room, and the v...

Fun things to do and visit
This is fun if you want great skyline picture. I would also recommend going to the corner of E Grand and Skeeter St. There is a little food/drink stand on the corner. They have the best Italian Ice in Chicago!
Navy Pier
Go through the German U-boat. You won't regret it! United States military active-duty personnel and veterans, Illinois POWs, Chicago firefighters, Chicago police officers, and Illinois teachers (Pre-K through 12th grade) receive free Museum Entry.
Museum of Science and Industry
I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been here. It is so much fun! Make sure to go downstairs for a dolphin show. They are phenomenal!

How to get around

South Shore Line
These are a lifesaver for when your legs are getting tired. We love to ride along the coast of Lake Michigan. There are less people to navigate through. You can ride easily from Navy Pier to the Museums. Make sure to pay attention to which bike you p...
