I LOVED this one. It’s a bit of a thriller/mystery with some crazy twists and turns. Not necessarily a quick read but a good one. Highly recommend if you’re into thrillers!
The Midnight Feast: An NPR Best Book of the Year
A mystery/thriller with a bit of a paranormal twist. This one was a little slow for me in the beginning and then I got into it after the first few chapters. I truly did not see the ending coming!
The House Across the Lake: A Novel (Paperback)
Trigger warning for child abduction - this is another mystery/thriller that I really enjoyed. This was a faster read. It has some twists that I didn’t not see coming. Highly recommend.
A Flicker in the Dark - by Stacy Willingham (Paperback)
Trigger warning - domestic abuse. I read this one in about a day! A super quick read that’s really good!! The ending was a bit predictable but I still enjoyed the book.
The Housemaid - by Freida McFadden (Paperback)
I’ve seen mixed reviews on this one BUT I really enjoyed it! This was a FAST read. It’s a thriller/mystery with a great ending.
First Lie Wins - by Ashley Elston (Hardcover)
Ooof this one is wild! This was the first coho book that I read and it sucked me in. It’s a thriller with an ending that really makes you think. This is being adapted into a movie as well so it’s a good time to read it before the movie comes out!
Verity - by Colleen Hoover (Paperback)
This one is a little raunchy but I couldn’t get enough of it 😂 a quick read that draws you in! A bit of a thriller.
Too Late - by Colleen Hoover (Paperback)
The sequel to It Ends with Us - a solid read but I liked It Ends with Us better. I also don’t really remember what happened in this book so I feel like that should say something
It Starts with Us: Special Collector's Edition - by Colleen Hoover (Hardcover)
GREAT book!! This one made me ugly cry. It has a really heartwarming ending. A quick read - really hope they turn this one into a movie.
Reminders of Him - by Colleen Hoover (Paperback)
The book is 10x better than the movie. It does include domestic abuse but it focuses on ending the cycle. I enjoyed this book!
It Ends with Us - by Colleen Hoover (Paperback)
I picked this book up from a hotel in Beaufort and I’m so glad I did. This is a sweet heart warming story with a bit of a mystery twist. The book is set in Beaufort NC and would be a great summer read.
A Happier Life - by Kristy Woodson Harvey (Hardcover)
This book is LONG, it’s a good read, but not one of my favorites. Despite its name it’s actually about fixing up an old house and the mystery that comes with it.
The Homewreckers: Mary Kay Andrews
If you’ve seen the movie you definitely need to read the book (it’s better), just kidding, you should read the book either way. This one is a good one! I read this one super fast. Would be a good summer read!
Where The Crawdads Sing - by Delia Owens (Paperback)
Took me a minute to get into this one but it’s good!! A good quick read! Only qualm is that I felt like it should have been longer. Still recommend!
The Last Thing He Told Me - by Laura Dave (Paperback)
This is a good one but it’s loooong. It took me a little while to read, not because it’s hard to get into but because you really have to pay attention to what’s going on. It’s got a supernatural twist to it. A good read that I definitely recommend!
