I used to kill every plant that came into my house. Once my kids got older, I suddenly had the mental capacity to pay enough attention to what worked and what didn't. Now, I have a house full of plants! I still prefer the unfussy ones though. This is a list of plants you practically have to try to kill.
Beautiful and easy to keep alive in dirt or water.
Brasil Philodendron
This plant is an absolute BEAST! It handles afternoon sun on my Texas porch (SUPER rare), thrives inside, doesn't mind a missed watering, and even seemed to somehow survive as a cutting in a glass container even after the water all evaporated!
Burle Marx Philodendron
Grows really well in dirt or water and can handle a fair bit of neglect.
Jade Pothos
I LOVE the color of this plant. It's super hard to kill and can even handle afternoon sun in Texas!
Neon Pothos
This was one of the first plants I learned how to care for. It's incredibly forgiving.
Micans Philodendron
Again, I love this color! And it just grows and grows!
Lemon Lime Philodendron
I absolutely love how exotic this guy is! And not finicky at all.
Philodendron Florida Beauty Green
Ferns are usually very finicky. This is the only one I've managed to keep alive.
Kangaroo Paw Fern
Lovely plant!! Very hardy and fast-growing.
Swedish Ivy houseplant
So unique! I love it.
Mistletoe Cactus
How cute are these?!
Fairy Castle Cactus
Gorgeous little tree! It loves to spend the warm season on the porch.
Variegated Ficus Altissima
Super hard to kill!
Schefflera Arboricola 'Umbrella'
Very low mainteance!
Hoya Obovata
I love how unique this plant is! And not fussy at all.
Mistletoe Cactus
I LOVE the pink!!! Put this in the window where you get the most sun and it will just explode!
