These paint markers are amazing! Great for mixed media creations, they really work on nearly every surface type (canvas, wood, metal, and more). Plus, they come in a wide range of colors, including metallic
POSCA Paint Markers
An insane amount of shades are available, and these create amazing designs on tile, canvas, and resin creations. Love the versatility of the ink for mixed media creation or mimicking watercolor designs, but with a stronger pop of color
Tim Holtz® Alcohol Ink
I use these for a little of everything. Their pens are my favorite, both the ballpoint and felt tip. The colors are vibrant, and the newest paint markers are incredible. About one of the only white paint markers that works for a long time the way I need it to.

These are the supplies I've used initially getting started with any kind of creative project - then, once I felt more confident and built skill, I'd upgrade to premium supplies. Lowes is another unique location to find a wide variety of art supply finds: wooden boards, paint supplies, sealants, spray paint, etc. And the pricing is much better than a specialty art store for just as good of quality product for a final creative design

don't forget to seal your creations to ensure continued longevity of what you've created. Too many times people get in a rush and forget this step to help protect against environmental elements like dust, dirt, pet hair, and other incidental things that can make your piece degrade over time. Slow down and do the detail work to make the quality you've worked so hard on last.
Sealer - Polyurethane Wood Finish

Bamboo Mixed Media Paper
There's something to say about the process of working on yupo paper with alcohol ink and gradually reactivating sections to intensify or lighten a portion for expressing highlights and shadows in a design. Also love making blooms in the inks and seeing how different colors interact. The paper hold up great to continued manipulation of shades over and over.
