Glacier National Park
Fantastic park to see, hiking, camping is a blast in the summer. Postcard views all around.
Rocky Mountain National Park
If you visit Washington state, don't miss this park. Camp and explore this large park over a couple three days. Lots to see.
Mount Rainier National Park
This is a few hours drive from Seattle but is worth the drive. Great drive through the park to Eastern Washington. I try to drive this loop every summer. Through the park on hiway 20 to Winthrop, then head south to hiway 2 over the Cascade mountains ...
North Cascades National Park
Another great national park in Washington state. Campgrounds, hiking trails, lakes, mountains and rivers. Ride the ferry to the Olympic peninsula from Seattle, drive around the park. Long drive but quite fun.
Olympic National Park
Very interesting drive. Has a good viewing center. An enjoyable day trip from Portland or Seattle.
Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument
I can't wait to visit this park again. So much to see and do. Loved it.
Yellowstone National Park
I enjoyed staying at this park. Lots to see and do. Beautiful country.
Yosemite National Park
A favorite drive through the mountains of Washington state. Including the drier area of the state. (Eastern Washington)
Cascade Loop Drive in Washington state
I visited this when I was in the Air Force. Still remember it vividly. Worth a visit.
Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Visited here while on an Alaska cruise from Seattle. Highly recommended. Was a lot of fun.
Denali National Park and Preserve
Big trees. Really big. Fun place to see with your own eyes.
