Half the LED mirrors out there claim to be compact but then weigh as much as a brick. These actually slide into my crossbody without making it bulge like I'm smuggling a textbook.

Regular mirrors show you the general picture but miss the tiny stuff. I didn't realize how much I needed magnification until I caught a chin hair situation that had apparently been going on for days.

Sometimes a compact isn't enough and you need a proper mirror but can't lug around a vanity. These fold flat and saved me in more Airbnb bathrooms than I can count.

Nothing worse than your mirror dying mid-touch-up because the coin batteries you bought three months ago gave out. Went rechargeable and never looked back.

Learned the hard way that one brightness level doesn't cut it. Fluorescent office lighting needs a different setting than a candlelit bar, and these let you adjust.

My going-out bags fit a phone, a card, and basically nothing else. Finding mirrors thin enough for a clutch was a whole project.

Because of course my phone dies at the same time I need to check my face. A couple of these double as power banks which felt ridiculous until it saved me at a concert.

Bright LEDs at full blast make me squint so hard I can't actually see what I'm doing. These dim down enough to be useful without feeling like an interrogation lamp.

I drop things constantly. My bag gets thrown on floors, kicked under seats, and generally abused. These mirrors took the beating and kept working.

Some LED mirrors make you look green or washed out, and then you walk outside and realize your foundation is three shades too dark. These actually match real sunlight.

Not every mirror needs to cost a fortune. These cheap ones outperformed some pricier options and I keep extras stashed in different bags.
