Day 1 of our 4 day safari to Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater 🐘🦁 We started in Tarangire National Park, which is apparently the place for elephants! But we also saw zebras, buffalo, giraffes, lions (which are rare here!) and even a leopard, though it was so tucked away in the bushes I couldn’t even get it on camera. We ended the day at Suricata Boma Lodge, which was part of our mid-range package but looked anything but mid! I mean look at that pool and sunset over Lake Manyara?! Not bad for day 1. Day 2 of our Tanzanian safari! The Serengeti 🐆🦁 Such an amazing day! We saw all 3 big cats: lions, cheetahs (one wee’d on the other two 😂), and a leopard that strolled past our car. We stayed inside the park and the campsite had no gates! Day 4 of our Tanzanian safari and it kicked off with lions at sunrise. 🦁 We headed into Ngorongoro Crater just as the sun came up and saw buffalo, a baby zebra, flamingos, hippos… and a hyena legging it past our car with part of a wildebeest in its mouth. Lovely! We watched hyenas feasting, jackals trying (and failing) to sneak up on baby warthogs, and finally spotted a black rhino in the distance! After four days exploring the Serengeti, Tarangirie National Park and Ngorongoro Crater with Suricata Safaris, I can honestly say this trip was something else. Would you go on a safari?
