My good chef's knife got so gummed up with latex sap that I almost tossed it. These blades actually release from the flesh instead of dragging through it like taffy.

First time I cut jackfruit bare-handed, I used rubbing alcohol, cooking oil, and a pumice stone trying to get clean. Never again. Gloves are not optional here.

A knife alone isn't enough. The first time took me over an hour. Now I'm done in 20 minutes because the right tools handle the annoying parts like prying, scooping, and separating.

One whole jackfruit produces way more fruit than you expect. My first one sat in a bowl on the counter and went bad in two days. Proper storage means you actually eat what you paid for.
