I avoided buying anything on Tik Tok Shop for the longest time, but now that I've purchased several things, I have realized that it is a great online shopping option! I have been happy with almost everything I've ordered, and I'm only adding the items on this list that I was extremely pleased with! Most of the time, the prices are reasonable, and shipping has been surprisingly fast!

My oldest son just purchased his first ever home! It reminded me of my first home purchase years ago and made me start thinking about what we bought then and what he's buying now to make a house a home. Here is my list of must haves for first time home owners!

I got Covid in December of 2020 while teaching high school. I was not able to return for spring semester. In fact, I was in a wheelchair with a whole host of health issues until late summer of 2021. I was finally able to get around without a wheelchair eventually, but my life has never been the same. Four and a half years later, despite going to a Long Covid Clinic and seeing a multitude of doctors, I still don't have any real answers or treatments. I am better, but I am pretty sure I will always have a chronic illness that prevents me from living the same kind of life I did prior to Covid. This list is just going to consist of things that I have found helpful in this Long Covid Journey. I am in no way a medical professional, and I'm finding that with Long Covid, and probably other post-viral illnesses, something that works for one person may not work for another! But I am here to share what has given me at least a little bit of my life back or made things easier for me.

I am only adding things to this list that we have actually purchased and that were really great additions to our child's dorm room. We just moved our third child into her dorm, so we have a little experience with dorm essentials!

I absolutely adore a well-written memoir or biography! I love the insight and perspective gained when I can step into someone else's life, and I learn all about different cultures, time periods, and events. We learn all about the experiences that shape someone's life, and we gain empathy and understanding.
