Gay's The Word
A bookbarge!! I repeat a bookbarge. Lovely selection and voted one of the world’s prettiest bookstores.
Word on the Water - The London Bookbarge
The interest favourite bookstore! Voted alongside word on the water for prettiest bookstores in the world. Often crowded but always a pleasure.
Daunt Books Marylebone
If you’re up in Brixton pop over and visit another indie bookstore Round Table, who platform BIPOC authors and community.
Round Table Books
A bookstore that’s also a bar. Exactly what it says on the tin. I haven’t been yet but I follow them closely. They host a lot of wonderful events so keep an eye out you might just see your favourite author in conversation!
BookBar
One of the biggest bookstores in Europe (if i remember correctly)! So many floors of books to peruse. No worries if you don’t make it down there’s loads of Waterstones around. Gower street is nice too.

A cosy store, that champions the intersectional LGBTQ+ community and hosts wonderful events.
The Common Press Bookshop

A mix for veggies and meat eaters alike! Order: Tofu Pad Thai & the veggie satay skewers (as many of them as you can they’re unreal).
Banana Tree Soho
Can never go wrong with Pasta! I have so many recommendations and I will always be ordering the same thing…a truffle pasta.
Padella Shoreditch
Found out the other day they have a Michelin star - but still super affordable!
Bancone
There are a couple different locations, Soho is the one I’ve been to the most. Good pizza and Italian friend approved!
Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Spitalfields
They have vegetarian and non vegetarian options to suit all groups.
Honest Burgers Bank
There are a few Rosas dotted around the city. The cashew tofu stir fry is 10/10!
