Skincare + Prep
Removing peach fuzz is a great way to achieve a smooth makeup application. I do this 5-7 days before an event. Tip: do NOT apply any actives or heavy skincare for 24 hours as this may cause irritation, breakouts or folliculitis.
Revlon Face Defuzzers
My pre-event exfoliating hero! Makes your skin feel so smooth and prepped for makeup. Follow it up with a hydrating sheet mask. I use this the day before a big event or when I want that GLOW.
Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask
Love using this affordable sheet mask on the morning of an event to plump and hydrate my skin before a makeup application.
Garnier Hydra Bomb Pomegranate Sheet Mask
It's NOT just water in a can! (I promise). I use this after applying Hyaluronic Acid serum to plump, and spray it in-between makeup steps for added hydration. Oily and sensitive skin friendly!
Caudalie Grape Water
Super affordable and a very plush, luxe feeling moisturiser. It's lightweight enough to use during the daytime and works so well under makeup (even on oily skin!)
e.l.f Holy Hydration! Nourishing Night Cream
This is a fantastic SPF for wearing under makeup! Great for any daytime events and doesn't make your skin greasy. Not matte, not dewy, just perfect. Can be used on both the face and body.
Avène Sunscreen Spray SPF50+
Strobe cream is a cult fave for a good reason! It gives your skin a luminous glow, primes and hydrates all in one. A perfect option if your foundation choice is a bit iffy with primers. Tip: if you're more on the oily side, apply it to the high point...
MAC Strobe Cream
Base Makeup
A nice pore-softening primer that gives a satin effect to the skin. Non-drying and no issues with pilling under makeup. Not overly mattifying but very comfortable.
e.l.f Liquid Poreless Putty Primer
These colour correctors are so handy for adjusting foundations or colour correcting prior to applying concealer. I use the blue and green shades to neutralise any orange or pink tones when a foundation doesn't quite match me properly. They don't alte...
e.l.f Camo Color Corrector
One of the best longwearing drugstore foundations! Great for combo/oily skin and really lasts throughout the day when paired with primer, setting powder and spray. Beautiful coverage and a nice satin finish that's very flattering on skin texture. I m...
Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation
One of the very best drugstore concealers. Performs like a high-end concealer, providing nice coverage and a hydrated feel. I use this one under my eyes and next to my nose on my cheeks. I wear the shade Light.
NYX Bare With Me Concealer Serum
A hydrating, creamy alternative to Tarte Shape Tape. Provides wonderful coverage and you need the smallest amount. Spreads and blends out beautifully too. I use this for both the undereyes and for spot concealing around the face.
ABH Magic Touch Concealer
The perfect cream bronzer for underpainting! This one mimics the skin and melts in perfectly. It leaves a balmy sheen that isn't greasy or sticky and has a great colour pay-off. You know it's made by a makeup artist because of the perfect undertones ...
Tanielle Jai Bronzour
If you want to add coverage and perfect your makeup look, this is the pressed powder for you! I converted to this powder from MAC Studio Fix years ago and never looked back. A must for oily skin and a handbag staple for touch-ups.
Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder
An absolute drugstore gem! So pigmented, creamy, and blends like a dream. I use the shades Summer Fling (for contour) and Soul Mate (warm bronzer).
Australis Dewy + Daring Cream Bronzer
Cheekies
If you want luminous, glowing cheeks with just a hint of peachy, neutral warmth, Crystal Slipper is the one. This powder blush is an incredible formula and gives you healthy looking cheeks that are never powdery.
RMS ReDimension Hydra Powder Blush
If you're wanting a peachy, rosey matte blush, Melba is an absolute classic. It suits a lot of skin tones and is muted yet pigmented enough to look natural yet lively. Suits a lot of different makeup looks too whether you wear a more cool toned or wa...
MAC Powder Blush
If you're an “I use bronzer as blush” kind of person, this is the blush for you. It has a beautiful rosey undertone to it for that flattering, sunkissed effect. The powder is great for using as eyeshadow too!
Patrick Ta Major Headlines Blush Duo
Setting Powders + Sprays
My closest Givenchy Prism Libre (RIP) dupe and quite possibly the MOST underrated loose setting powder. Perfect for oily skin and is great for setting both the undereyes and the face. I use the shade Translucent.
KimChi Chic Puff Puff Pass
This powder contains Talc and Silica. That's it. It's smoothing, mattifying, and locks down your makeup minus the fragrance and frills you get with other setting powders. It has no colour so won't alter the shade of your makeup either. If you're sad ...
RCMA No Colour Powder
This powder is a MUA staple for a reason. It looks fantastic is photos, especially selfies. It definitely is HEAVY though and catered towards a full glam or just heavier makeup application in general. Not one for the natural makeup lovers out there. ...
Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder
The OG. The best. The old reliable. Spray this after primer, after foundation, and at the end of your makeup application, and you're all set for the day!
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
My favourite UD All Nighter DUPE! Actually, the spray nozzle on this is better than All Nighter. If Urban Decay is the heavy-duty glam version, e.l.f would be the soft glam sister. An incredible alternative at a fraction of the price.
e.l.f Stay All Night Setting Mist
Finishing Touches
(I'm so sorry they're so expensive, but) nothing compares to the Hourglass Ambient powders. A light dusting over your face adds an indescribable, flattering, lit-from-within glow that I've never seen any other product replicate. This is one of those ...
Hourglass Ambient™ Lighting Palette
If you want a pop of peachy, coral goodness to your cheeks, add a hint of Luminoso. It's one of those borderline orange blushes that give you a shimmering glow while livening up your blush look. Great if you find your blush looks too neutral or if yo...
Milani Baked Blush Luminoso
I call Prosecco Fizz ‘The Grown Up’ highlighter. It's a sophisticated formula that adds the GLOW you're used to from a “blinding highlight” without any of the harsh shimmer or odd colour cast. It's a perfect peachy champagne shade that can be used re...
