I recommend this microphone, as does my sound engineer husband (yes, we are both professional sound engineers ❤️🎙).
I do have to say, though, this headphone, after wearing it for several hours, can give me a headache. It is a bit of a tight fit for my head. So, it possibly not the best for everyone. I recommend, if you purchase this via Amazon, to really test it for several hours at a time, during the refund period, so that you know for sure.
Also, since it is not a closed back headphone, it may cause feedback. I did not have it happen often (only once), but you do need to keep that in mind, that it is not the ideal choice for recording. These headphones work for mixdown, but are not the best choice for recording. I have another pair that I recommend for recording (or cabled/wired ear buds).
It is affordable, when you compare it to what quality headphones COULD cost and especially if you watch for PRIME DAY deals on Amazon, so maybe put it on an Amazon List and watch for sales 😁.
But, as far as quality, it is top notch for sound quality for mixing music, podcasts, etc. You may want something else for “listening” (e.g., that automatically boosts the bass, etc.), but when you are doing the engineering, you want to hear EXACTLY what is in the recording so that you know what it sounds like BEFORE you add anything to it... Then you have a better idea of what you are doing. These headphones help with that!
Also, countless (and I mean countless!) people (including friends and so called “experts”) recommend headphones that include microphones (e.g., headsets), but you do NOT want those. Whenever possible, for quality sake, PLEASE use a separate microphone and separate headphones so you do not get feedback and so that you have the highest quality, but, that is a lesson (or series of lessons) for another day, so this sound engineer is...
