This is my new favorite R.F. Kuang book. My words will not be able to do this book justice, but here we go. Also, I just want to note that I didn’t just read this book, I savored it, letting the academic wit, brilliant descriptions, and academic magi...
Katabasis Audiobook on Libro.fm
What a journey this was! My short review of this is sapphic vampires out for love, revenge, and to satiate their hunger throughout time, make for a phenomenal story. This was well-plotted and paced from the 1530s to present day and following 3 main c...
Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil Audiobook on Libro.fm
This may be my new favorite take on Snow White, especially given that it doesn’t even focus on that titular character. Instead we get a story about Anja, a healer and poisons expert, who is conscripted by the king to save his daughter who keeps falli...

The Spellshop Audiobook on Libro.fm
Based on the description and cover of this book I knew I would love this book. Our protagonist, Tam, is messy, queer, and full of heart, all while thinking she doesn’t deserve love.

Aunt Tigress Audiobook on Libro.fm
Everything about this scratched the itch I needed in the romantasy genre. A well-built world with an intricate magic system that both feels well-explained in the book and has a glossary in the back of the book in case you forget mixed with a satisfyi...
Arcana Academy Audiobook on Libro.fm
While I loved the setting of San Francisco in book 1, coming to Tokyo in book 2 greatly expanded everything about the book - especially what we thought we knew about the magic. Emiko learns some new things about herself that amplify her abilities and...
Blood Jade Audiobook on Libro.fm
This was the perfect commentary of the COVID pandemic while bringing us tons of gore and body horror. If you want to read a horror book that gets you more mad and riled up about racism than afraid of boogeyman, then you need to pick this up.
As eve...
Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng Audiobook on Libro.fm
This series is by far one of the best fantasy series based on mythology that I have ever read. Kaner is the master at crafting new gods and myths and weaving them into the tapestry of this world. And I am so in love with this world that I was sad to...

What an incredibly crafted story this is! It’s got some of my favorite things in it: found family, witchcraft, and healing.

This was a goddamn masterpiece of a dark academia story. The world-building is brilliant and the magic system is brilliantly crafted. I don’t think my review will be able to adequately explain how good this book is. It is definitely a contender for b...

This is for the freaks (complimentary).
Spread Me Audiobook on Libro.fm

The tagline nails the vibes of this book perfectly: Titanic meets Aliens. There’s even a Dr. Ripley on board as a nod to Aliens. But this is also so much more than that. Celeste and Dominic are characters with interesting pasts and very different upb...
