Love That Feels Like Home
These are books that are friends to lovers, mutual pining, and second chance romances. Is this your favorite kind of romance to read?
A beautiful romance book that explores falling in love again, exploring self love, and neurodivergent representation in some characters. This was a 5-star read for me from start to finish!
This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan, Paperback
A divorced couple learn how to navigate love and family. They also learn more about themselves along the way. This is definitely an unforgettable read.
Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan, Paperback
This is the first romance book I read with neurodivergent representation and it did not disappoint! Two people with different lives and ways of navigating the world find each other under the most unusual circumstances and the adventure starts from th...
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, Paperback
A friends-to-lovers trope with awareness around medical issues. This book truly illustrates the meaning of friendship, the lines that blur between that and romance, and support.
A Love Like the Sun by Riss M. Neilson, Paperback
This was the romance book that reignited my genuine interest in magical realism (which is my favorite genre). There’s a scene in this book that absolutely takes your breath away. I’d recommend this book off of that scene alone.
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston, Paperback
This book was an interesting read in that it had one of the most original plot lines I’ve ever read. Learning to understand yourself, relationships, and sexuality all that the same time.
The Friendship Study by Ruby Barrett, Paperback
The tension builds as a highly successful woman finds love. What will win? Love or her career? This book is an interesting exploration with that concept.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry, Paperback
The most unexpected thing happens and the main character learns to rebuild her life from the ground up. One of my favorite things about this book is how she learns to trust in community and be a part of it herself.
Funny Story by Emily Henry, Paperback
A hilarious read about a woman who gets a second chance at life and love (literally). In this read, we learn the importance of community and overcoming your past.
The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood, Paperback
If this book was 1000+ pages, I would still read it to this day. The way the plot, the characters, the setting, and the timelines weave in and out of each other is so masterful. This book also has magical realism which is an immediate plus.
A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams, Paperback
Love That Burns Like Fire
These books have high drama, enemies to lovers, forbidden love, etc. Which kind of romance books are more interested in reading?
A fantasy book where the main character explores two love interests. This book has an intricate plot with complex and diverse characters.
Legendborn by Tracy Deonn, Paperback
This book absolutely takes you by surprise. You’ll think that you’re reading one kind of romance book and discover that you’re reading something completely different. Would highly recommend if you’re interested in a plot twist.
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez, Paperback
This book got me back into reading. I saw the movie first and HAD to see what the book was about. This book goes back and forth between ripping your heart apart and putting it back together.
The Idea of You by Robinne Lee, Paperback
Here’s a book that’s been adapted to the big screen and did not disappoint! Both the book and movie were enjoyable to read and watch. If you like the enemies to lovers trope, this one is for you.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, Paperback
Love that’s immortal through writing. Understanding generational gifts and trauma. A week that changes the course of two people’s lives. This one is an unforgettable read.
