Hotels and Restaurants in Salem that I liked
OMG this place was amazing! Obviously try the oysters and try to get a table outside, this restaurant is right on the water.
Sea Level Oyster Bar
This is a great spot 2 blocks from Essex Street that’s really great for large groups. They have a lot of tables and there’s a good amount of tables that seat 8 people in the bar area.
The food and drinks were good too.
The Derby Restaurant & Bar
This is a great spot for Mexican food not far from Essex Street. Get the chile con queso to start!
Howling Wolf Taqueria
We came here to regroup after we missed our entry time for the Witch House and ended up coming back again later in our trip. It’s a good spot to have a drink and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating.
Village Tavern | Bar & grill
If you really just want to be on a rooftop, then this is the perfect spot in Salem. It’s on Essex Street right in the middle of everything
The Roof
This hotel is located right in the middle of Salem. If you’re planning to visit during Halloween, I recommend booking very early as rooms during this time sell out fast.
It’s also rumored to be haunted.

This ice cream is homemade and so good - check out their rotating flavors
Melt Ice Cream

This house is easy to find and just as easily missed despite the pictures making it seem like it stands out. It looks like any other house in the area but for fans of Hocus Pocus it’s a must see.
Ropes Mansion and Garden - Allison’s House in Hocus Pocus
This cemetery is very old - I recommend spending some time here to explore some of the unique headstones.
