Perlan
Reykjanes Peninsula
This is the place you see all over Instagram with beautiful blue water. It can get VERY crowded but I highly suggest going right after getting off your flight at 6 am it's empty and beautiful. They have 3 different entrance levels. The Silica is great for your face but horrible for your hair. Either avoid getting your hair wet or use the conditioner they provide before getting in the water and leave it in.

Currently Active Volcano. Safe to visit previous Eruption sites.
Fagradalsfjall volcano
Colorful easily accesible geothermal area. Beware it does smell like rotten eggs
Seltún Geothermal Area
Easy to access cliffs overlooking the ocean
Valahnúkamöl Cliffs
Area filled with mud pools and steam vents, warning does smell like rotten eggs
Gunnuhver Hot Springs

Absolutely beautiful place, but be careful and do not get close to the water the “sweeper” waves are deadly and distance should be maintained. Amazing views and definitely worth a visit.

Cute Seaside Village right next to the Black Sand Beach.
Vík
Beautiful Blue Glacial Lagoon with giant floating Icebergs. Take a Boat ride on the lake for stunning up close views.
Jökulsárlón
Black Sand Beach covered with both big and small pieces of Icebergs. Absolutely beautiful on a gloomy day and a sunny day as well
The Diamond Beach
Beautiful Waterfall, you can walk the trail right behind the waterfall to see the falls from behind. Lots of great spots for a cool photo op
Seljalandsfoss
Small waterfall hidden right next to Seljalandsfoss obscured by the cliff rock.
Gljúfrabúi
One of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland. You can walk up on the black volcanic rock so close to the falls. Great spot to spot double rainbows! Also if you've watched Game of Thrones scenes were shot here
Skógafoss
Falls surrounded by dark lava columns
Svartifoss
The largest and most voluminous ice cap in Iceland, and the second largest in Europe. Plenty of Ice Cave tours run out of here and are a great experience.
