I loooooove to read. I've been reading around 60-80 books each year since 2020 and I can't slow down. Below are all the books I've read in 2024 so far, along with a quick review.

Freida McFadden never misses and I can't wait to read more from her.
The Coworker
I'm obsessed with this series and need to read the next books immediately!
Things We Hide from the Light (Knockemout 2)
This transported me to the streets of New York and I loved it.
Here Is New York
I felt like this was a series of blog posts that were very repetitive. Not my favourite.
Working Hard, Hardly Working: #1 Bestseller
I put this off for the longest time, but it's one of the best books I've ever read.
Song of Achilles, The
I'm so gutted this series has come to an end - one of my favourites!
Things We Left Behind (Knockemout Book 3)
February
A classic book that you need to read once in your ilfe.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
A quick book to get through, but I didn't find it life-changing.
Women don't owe you pretty
I laughed out loud at this so much, will definitely be reading more from Nora Ephron.
I Feel Bad About My Neck: Thoughts on Women
March
Harlan Coben is always a safe author to read as you can always expect great twists and turns - just like Miracle Cure!
Miracle Cure
Not the best Colleen Hoover book I've read, but a quick one.
Without Merit: A Novel
This was a TikTok-hyped book but I didn't love it as much as I thought I would.
If He Had Been with Me
A book of short stories by Irish author Niamh Mulvey - enjoyable!
Hearts and Bones: Love Songs for Late Youth
Am I in my hockey romance era? I think so.
Icebreaker: A Novel (The Maple Hills Series)
April
Enjoyable and consists of the predictable little bit of woo woo that Ashley Poston always delivers.
The Seven Year Slip
Consider me a big Tessa Bailey fan.
Hook, Line, and Sinker: Bellinger Sisters 2
May
Another amazing novel from Freida McFadden with twists I never see coming!
Never Lie
Emily Henry's latest novel, but I really didn't love it.
Funny Story
The perfect book of escapism, highly enjoyed!
Caraval (Caraval, 1)
My first Lynn Painter book and it didn't disappoint. Like Groundhog Day, so quite predictable.
The Do-Over
June
I'm a big Elle Kennedy fan now - so glad I discovered her writing this year!
The Deal (Off-Campus Book 1) eBook - Elle Kennedy
Based (very obviously) on One Direction. I would HATE to be the daughter in this book.
The Idea of You: A Novel
A Japanese book ahead of my trip to Japan. I was able to discover places to visit during my trip!
Days at the Morisaki Bookshop: A Novel
I enjoyed this, but wish there were more locations as the entire book was set inside a hospital ward.
Ward D
July
Didn't love parts of this book, felt like it focused too much on the character's insecurities.
Mile High (Windy City Series Book 1)
Very niche, and maybe too niche and enjoyed mostly by people that live in either Dublin or Galway.
This is the Life: Days and Nights in the GAA
I found some of the twists a little too obvious. Not as great as The Perfect Marriage.
Home Is Where the Bodies Are
August
I'm a big Elle Kennedy fan now, but preferred The Deal that I read earlier this year.
Body Check: A Spicy Hockey Romance
I felt transported to Italy for this story - highly enjoyable.
One Italian Summer: A Novel
I've been wanting to read this for so long. It was enjoyable, but didn't live up to the hype around it.
Every Summer After
September
I will read anything that Caleb Azumah Nelson ever writes.
Small Worlds
Book 4 in the series! Not my favourite, but still so good.
Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing, Book 4
An incredible story of one woman's life and the journey to come out the other side.
Educated: A Memoir
October
A classic that transported me all around the world and also taught me some world history.
Around the World in 80 Days
Full of Freida's usual twists and turns - the last chapter especially!
The Inmate: A gripping psychological thriller
A book of short stories that intertwine. One to make you think of the past and future.
Before the Coffee Gets Cold: A Novel
November
A nice YA mystery novel, but I won't rush to keep reading the series.
The Inheritance Games (The Inheritance Games, 1)
Not Freida's best work, but kept you guessing throughout.
One By One
I don't know if it was wrong book, wrong time but I really hated this. I was very close to not finishing it, and couldn't get into it at all!
Mexican Gothic
December
A great novella that's part of The Maid series - a perfect introduction for the Christmas period
The Mistletoe Mystery: A Maid Novella|Hardcover
The final book in the series and I'm so gutted it's over!!!
Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark|Paperback
After reading This Is Going to Hurt a few years ago, I picked this up for Christmas. With the same laugh-out-loud humour and moments, Adam Kay definitely has a career set out for him in TV writing I think. Hilarious but sad and also heartwarming, all...
Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas
A holiday rom-com in true Christina Lauren style. A great read to get into the Christmas spirit!
In a Holidaze|Paperback
Very Hallmark-Christmas-movie in its style, but it's also set in Ireland so that made me love it a little bit more.
