Located on the easternmost edge of Hillsborough County, snuggled conveniently between Orlando and Tampa, Plant City traces its history to the 1840s, and officially became a town in the 1880s.
Today, it's known primarily for its annual Strawberry Festival, which draws a few million visitors every year to its famed Strawberry shortcake booths, thrilling midway rides, local livestock and craft exhibits, and internationally known music acts.
