✧ fantasy series staples
high stakes + iconic series + intense romance & plot
(ongoing) fae courts, enemies-to-lovers, found family & found power; my fav series of all time! what got me back into reading
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
(ongoing) war college, dragons, forced proximity; also loved this series, the tension + plot twits were everything
The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros
(ongoing) urban fantasy, partners-to-lovers, slow emotional build up; SJM eats again, the world building in this one is amazing and the politics add to the story so much (+ the spice, best believe i ate that up)
Crescent City by Sarah J Maas
guard/princess dynamic, prophecy energy, hidden identity; dramatic in a way that's so good, LOVED the tension and the FMC is one of my faves of all time
Blood and Ash Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
(trilogy) witches, demons, forced arrangements; so dramatic but SO addicting
Kingdom of the Wicked Set by Kerri Maniscalco
assassin background, slow-build romance, layered politics; the character growth and relationships??? yeah I DEVOURED her
Throne of Glass - by Sarah J Maas
✧ fae, curses, & whimsy
just as described
(trilogy) fae politics, enemies-to-lovers, manipulation; sharp, pretty, strategic. the tension is unhinged but in a way that makes the book impossible to put down.
The Cruel Prince (Folk of the Air) Series by Holly Black
(trilogy) curses, trickster dynamic, pretty magic; whimsical but messy. fate plays games and so does everyone else (so addictive).
Once upon a Broken Heart Series by Stephanie Garber
(duology) fae courts, deception, love triangle (in a good way). i inhaled these!
