Parks
Fun parks with playgrounds and/or splash pads, guaranteed to tire your kids out.
I like that the splash pad is pretty big for my kids to run around and the cost is nothing. There's a fence enclosing the area and it's up a hill that brings seclusion
Sprague Street Splash Pad - City of Winston-Salem
I enjoyed having the enclosed area and there were multiple things for my kid to run around on and even though it was busy it didn't feel claustrophobic.
Midway Town Park
I like that their play area is huge and they also have a swimming pool.
Bolton Park - City of Winston-Salem
I'm in love with the NASA theme for the astro kids
Oak Summit Park - City of Winston-Salem
With the Park area being small, it's great to start there and then finish your time walking the trail with your kids. They also have a huge dog park area and multiple lengths to the trail.
Jamison Park
A great place to spend all day in the water and trying the other activities
High Point City Lake Park
Museums
Small and large museums for babies and toddlers to enjoy their time learning and discovering
It's a huge museum to spend the day in. My kid loved running back and forth to the different types of exhibits.
Marbles Kids Museum | Hands-On Play & Family Fun in Raleigh
It's a cute Montessori type of space
Market St Playpark | Greensboro, NC
I love that there is so much to explore for the little one and many hands in experiences.
Cognition | Interactive Children's Museum & Makerspace
Cafes
I love a great cafe for when I want to get work done and let my kid play and explore on their own.
It's such a cute space for your kid to explore and have your coffee.
City in the House
I don't see many of these around WSNC. So I love thr facts It's only a 30 minute drive and you can have coffee plus a big fenced in playground for your kids to run around.
