this step is not propaganda!! the most important step of your base routine to get it from DRY and CRACKING to HYDRATED and SMOOTH is the skin prep! here’s how i prep my skin with JUST skincare, no fancy products!
a very lightweight but hydrating serum and it’s very fun to apply this because it foams up and makes the nicest sizzling sound when you rub it into your skin :3

LOVEE this moisturizer! i always end up reaching for this over my other dry-skin creams because it doesn’t feel thick or heavy on the skin and dries quicker than the others!

great lightweight sunscreen for sensitive skin AND doesn’t leave any white cast! axis-y has always been a popular vegan brand but their sunscreen needs more hype :3

my dry skin dummy-proof routine! if your skin is so dry that it flakes, then why not skip the entire base routine and only focus on what you ACTUALLY need. not everyone needs a full face of foundation especially when their skin can’t handle it!
i apply this right after skin prep to correct my dullness and after my concealers to brighten smaller areas of my face more!

super hydrating and never creases! i use 01 “salmon blooming” and it’s the perfect color correcting shade :3
ps. people say this is similar to glow’s not dry concealer pots but this is actually the OG :P
SKINFOOD: salmon concealer cream
the best concealer i’ve ever used on my dry skin! it’s super pigmented but isn’t patchy.. i use shade 01 “light rest” for natural undereyes and as spot-concealing! :3

my favorite makeup step is adding dimension to the face. for all my asian girlies with a flatter nose bridge, this is for you!
i know.. but it’s super affordable and pigmented and this color “tawny amber” is just so gorgeous and perfect for my skintone :<
i also have the cream stick version of this and the liquid one works so much better and lasts forever :P
SHEGLAM: liquid bronzer
i use the matte highlighter side of “H01” to brighten my inner corners and sides of my nose! it’s very pigmented.
the glitter side is gorgeous too but i prefer powder highlighters generally as a glasses-wearer :P
FLORTTE: dual liquid highlighter and contour
initially, i bought this blush in the shade 01 “foggy rose” as a neutral pink blush but it ended up being the perfect brown contour/bronzer shade!

a classic kbeauty powder blush.. i use PK002 “grapefruit jelly” to softly add color to the middle of my cheeks after setting my base with powder.
only brush over your cheeks very softly because this is pigmented!
