I love getting outside with the kids, especially during the summer! These are some of our favorite playgrounds, parks, splash pads, and outdoor spots around Lorain County that help burn energy, cool off and make memories.
we love this park! it’s kind of far from us BUT so worth the drive! it’s a sensory seekers dream! there is really something for everyone!
Every Child's Playground (near pool) - Avon OH
honestly probably the best place on this list, but i’ll want you, it’s gonna be packed! So much to do here! There are areas for little kids as well as bigger kids and adults!
Ellen Trivanovich Aquatic Center
hiking trails, ducks, ponds… plus there’s an indoor playroom that is so much fun for little kids (it’s dinosaur themed)!!
Carlisle Reservation
Out of the list, this is my favorite splash pad! It’s close to a park as well so you have so many options on what to do for the day. Close to many food options in the area!
West Recreation Field
This is a really nice park & splash pad! It’s a quieter city and lots around to make a day out of it!
South Central Park
smaller, calmer but still a lot of fun for the littles! from what i’ve seen it’s a lot less packed than the bigger places!
Grafton Splash Pad
this is a super fun place! There’s a HUGE pool, splash pad and park! Nothing more you could need for a fun summer day!
Bleser Park
another one of our favorites! longggg trails to walk along and the park is quiet !!
Schwartz Road Park
i’m only telling you about this because I like you 🤍 I have literally never not once seen this park have more than a few people at it! which is crazy because it’s so nice and super fun!? the walking trails are paved as well!!
New Russia Township Park & Nature Preserve
splash zone is a family favorite! indoor pool & kids area. outdoor pool, kids area and slides 🛝 plus there’s a basketball court and nice locker rooms!
Splash Zone
splash padddd! 💦 I love summer activities, but I love them even more when they’re free! plus there’s so many options to eat in Lorain/Amherst or you could bring charcoal and grill by the beach!
Lakeview Park
cascade is definitely a local gem. there are a lot of nice trails and a new, very nice playground! plus the splash pad!!

it’s in the name! INCLUSIVE!!! this park is fully fenced and a great option! splash pad & park all together !

I love a good movie. and I love it more when it costs less than a gallon of gas! They have $1 movies this summer!! definitely have to check it out

I love main event! They have great food and activities for any age! The laser tag is my personal favorite

my daughter loves the trampoline park! they have dodgeball, foam pits, a rock climbing wall etc. also a great spot for a birthday party 🥳
Altitude Trampoline Park
all I can say is bring socks (and probably a painkiller for when you get back in the car 😂). I know i’m not limber enough to be in there with my daughter but i’m still gonna do it ! it’s fun for the whole family

my daughter always has so much fun here!! we love this for a rainy day because there’s so many food options (including sams club;)

so fun for smaller kids that love to climb! keeps them busy for literal hours

don’t let the pictures fool you, there’s a super cute small dino playroom hiding inside! I actually had my baby shower here and the dino room was perfect to keep the shower from getting to chaotic!
