I had my first baby in June of this year (2025). Initial postpartum had me in an absolute chokehold! Here are a few recs that made those first few weeks survivable.

Lifesaver. The hospital peri bottle is alright, but the upside down spout on this particular bottle is a game changer. Makes things much easier and more convenient!

Eating was very difficult for me in the first couple weeks. I received a few of these in a care package someone kindly gifted me. I’m not a big fan of protein bars, but these are so good. My personal fav is the PB&J.

Water intake is so important for recovery. Any insulated cup or water bottle will do, but I love my Owala water bottle!

These 😮‍💨. Perfection. I still wear them constantly.

These are so soft, padded so well that I only had minor leak through without additional breast pads, and supportive. I’ve weaned now, but I still occasionally use these because they’re so comfortable.

A soft robe because sometimes getting dressed is just too much. I would recommend darker colors due to the fact that staining is a high likelihood!

If you’re nursing and need to pump, I recommend Spectra. Many different settings, built in light for nighttime sessions, fairly quiet. Check with your insurance and see which pumps they cover!

These are the bottles my baby ended up preferring, but it is truly a try-and-see experience. What works for one baby likely won’t work for another, so whatever works for you is perfect!

I used this constantly in bed to lean against while feeding my baby. It’s not a necessity, but it is definitely helpful.
