This is the #1 must do activity in Cape Town! My favorite morning spent on the water kayaking with dolphins & seals – and you might even get lucky enough to have a whale spotting!!

HIKES TO GO ON
Hiking in Cape Town is GORGEOUS – but be careful!!
It has been known that hiking in Cape Town can be dangerous, so please make sure to go with a local person & don't hike alone as a female. I've included some guided hikes in this section that allow you to enjoy all of the hiking that these mountains have to offer, but with the safety of having both a group and a local guide.

Lion's Head is one of the most famous hiking spots in Cape Town, and you won't be disappointed with a sunrise / sunset hike!!

One of the best hikes in Cape Town (in my opinion) – it'll burn on the way up but you will not be disappointed when you get to the top!!
An easy, short hike with beautiful views of Lion's Head and Signal Hill from the top! A perfect hike for sunrise!!

BEACHES TO VISIT
The beaches in Cape Town are UNMATCHED!! I've never seen such beautiful beaches in my life – if you're in Cape Town, you must visit these incredible beaches (and I've even included a few “secret” beaches on the list 🫣
An easy beach to access from Sea Point - great for sunset drinks on the rocks, an easy beach day with friends, or for a cold plunge after a run along the prom!

Looking for a quieter, local beach? This is your spot! Glen Beach is a “secret beach” right on the edge of Camps Bay where you'll be able to escape from all of the tourists
Great beach to watch surfers or to get away from the crowds near Sea Point / Clifton! A 30ish minute drive from Sea Point, but definitely worth it for an amazing beach day
An absolutely BEAUTIFUL beach outside of Cape Town with some of the best views of the mountains behind the beach. You can see baboons all around the area and there are beautiful caves to explore! Great for a relaxing beach day outside the city
This is THE beach to go to if you want to see Cape Town's largest penguin colony!! Less than an hour drive from the city, Boulder's Beach is the perfect day trip away. You can spend an entire beach day here or even swim with the penguins!!!
