We loved taking a ferry to the private Shell Island! Very secluded, but be sure to bring shade and a cooler with lots of drinks and snacks if you plan on staying awhile. The ferry comes and goes, so make sure you are back in time so you don't miss it...
Shell Island in Panama City Beach | Boats, Dolphins & Tours
If you want to do some shopping, head to Pier Park! So many fun stores, ice cream shops, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc.
Pier Park
Another great place to get away from the crowds. It does $8 per vehicle, but it is worth it! Public bathrooms are available as well.
St. Andrews State Park
We took our 1 year old here and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Basically a mini zoo, but it is still really fun if you're looking for something to do besides relaxing at the beach!
ZooWorld
A little pricey, but a great way to cool down if you want to visit a waterpark or wherever you are staying doesn't have a pool!
Shipwreck Island
One of our favorite putt putt courses! We have been twice and would definitley go again. Well worth the money.
Pirate’s Island Adventure Golf
One of our favorite restaurants! The fish tacos and margaritas are delicious, and with that view? Can't beat it.
Harpoon Harry's Beachfront Restaurant
Another favorite restaurant. Sometimes the wait can be long, but the view makes it worth it. Try their frozen daquiris in the souvenir cup - bonus points if you keep it for $$ off your next drink!
Pineapple Willy's
Another restaurant recommendation. We come every time we visit. The kid's playground is a bonus while you wait for your food, and the drinks are delicious!
Sharky's Beachfront Restaurant
A little pricey, but well worth the all you can eat crab legs. We ate here on July 4th and it was fabulous! My son was only 1, so of course he ate free
Capt. Jack's Family Buffet - Thomas Drive
A super cool museum for children (and adults). A good way to beat the heat! Over 100+ different exhibits and even some amusement park rides.
WonderWorks Panama City Beach
Hands down some of the best donuts I have ever tried! Such good pricing as well. We ate these on our way home and they did not dissapoint- wish we had these back home in Indiana!
