Like any genre, some are winners and some simply are not. Though I will alwaysss finish a book I start, I won't recommend a classic simply because it's a classic. I'll be the judge!!!

Shirley Jackson. Absolute icon. My fave from her is We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

Come Along with Me

I always have to throw in a classic or two. This is the actual cover I have and it's just beautiful. I always want to read it in the fall or winter and just haven't gotten to it yet.

This is the cover I have as well. Another classic. I'm an English major who's never read The Yellow Wallpaper? Absurd.

My personal fave genre. It's giving classic but gentler. We can relate on a deeper level. I love collecting gorgeous snippets of writing and trying to understand very complex characters/ relationships.

I've been meaning to read this one for soooo long. I love a hateable protagonist.

Another book I've been dying to get to. Winter seems like the perfect time to embark on this journey lmao.

A bit of a random one that I thrifted because I couldn't stop looking at the cover and title. This one is a memoir, but sticking it in Lit Fiction since its the only one lol.

Growing into a favourite genre for me. On top will always be The Time Traveler's Wife as well as Lonely Castle in the Mirror. Trying to replicate those vibes at all cost.

My favourite Indigenous book and author. This would be a reread for me.
